Job summary

EisnerAmper seeks a Consulting Manager - CDBG-DR in its Government Services Practice to lead a team delivering HUD/CDBG-DR programs. This role focuses on compliance, program design, and client support for disaster recovery projects across state/local grantees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of consulting and Business Development experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory responsibilities for the team, including ensuring staff members are meeting all expectations and serving as a performance career coach to staff and completing annual evaluations
• Evaluate client needs and engagement scope, manage activities for completing work, and assist with oversight of overall quality control of client deliverables
• Support clients in maintaining compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., HUD regulations, 24 CFR 570, 2 CFR 200) and disaster recovery programs
• Support clients in designing and implementing disaster recovery programs meeting eligibility requirements and National Objective
• Draft and/or evaluate grantee Action Plan Amendments to ensure compliance with CDBG-DR regulations
• Develop policies and procedures that comply with regulations and grant actions
• Assist in business development activities including conferences, thought leadership, and RFP responses
• Identify recovery-related gaps and opportunities to increase program impact
• Occasionally work extended hours and travel to different offices/locations
