Job summary

EisnerAmper seeks a Consulting Manager - CDBG-DR to lead a team within the Government Services Practice. This role supports complex HUD-related disaster recovery programs, with a focus on ensuring compliance and program effectiveness.

Hybrid or remote work is possible for those near local offices; travel may be required to client sites and firm offices. Strong project management and BD experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of consulting and business development is preferred.
• Experience with pre-award, post-award, and closeout processes for CDBG-DR grants.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AI tools (Claude, Copilot and ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Supervise team members, coach performance, and conduct annual evaluations.
• Evaluate client needs and engagement scope; oversee quality of client deliverables.
• Support compliance with HUD regs (e.g., 24 CFR 570, 2 CFR 200) and related guidance.
• Assist in designing disaster recovery programs meeting eligibility requirements.
• Draft/evaluate grantee Action Plan Amendments to ensure CDBG-DR compliance.
• Develop policies/procedures aligned with regulations and Action Plans.
• Engage in business development, conferences, thought leadership, and proposal responses.
• Identify gaps in recovery-related assistance and suggest resource leverage.
