Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Consulting Manager - CDBG-DR in our Government Services Practice. This role focuses on HUD CDBG-DR programs, compliance, and program design for state/local grantees. Remote or hybrid work is possible near local offices.

Lead a team, oversee client engagements, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to business development. Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years in consulting and CDBG-DR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of consulting and Business Development is preferred.
• Experience with pre-award, post-award, and closeout processes for CDBG-DR grants.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory responsibilities for the team, including ensuring staff meet expectations and conducting evaluations.
• Evaluate client needs and engagement scope, manage activities, and oversee quality control of deliverables.
• Support clients in maintaining compliance with HUD regulations and disaster recovery requirements.
• Assist with designing and implementing disaster recovery programs meeting eligibility requirements.
• Draft and evaluate grantee Action Plans for CDBG-DR compliance.
• Develop policies and procedures in line with regulations and grantee plans.
• Support strategic planning and growth by tracking disaster recovery trends and opportunities.
• Engage in business development activities, attend conferences, and review funding opportunities.
• Identify recovery gaps and provide recommendations to increase program impact.
• May require extended hours and travel to different offices or client locations.
