Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer I for a remote role with travel across North America. The position starts as a contingent role with a path to a permanent role, supporting warranty analysis, emerging technologies, and field engineering during operations.

The role emphasizes coordination, documentation, and data-driven decision making within SOLV’s EPC projects in the solar, storage, and high voltage sectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field; EIT preferred or pursuing certification.
  • 0–3 years of relevant construction engineering experience with guidance expected.
  • Ability to read civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical drawings and specs.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, pile load testing, and document control.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering information flow to field teams; distribute drawings and clarifications promptly.
  • Manage RFIs with clear questions and track closure to avoid schedule delays.
  • Interpret SOLV standards, contract requirements, and permit conditions.
  • Maintain document control systems for drawings, data rooms, and submittals.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and identify design conflicts or missing details.
  • Support comments cycles with organized logs and responsive follow-ups.
  • Monitor deliverables and escalate risks; collaborate with internal and external partners.
