Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineer I to support warranty analysis, emerging technologies and field documentation across EPC operations. You will assist with GPS-enabled pile driving, drone surveys, RFIs, and pre‑construction pile testing programs while coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or related field (preferred).
• 0–3 years of relevant experience, with guidance toward independent execution (Engineer I).
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (civil, structural, electrical, geotechnical).
• Foundational understanding of construction processes, testing practices (pile load testing), and engineering documentation.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and disciplined documentation.
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining design updates and gathering field information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; exposure to CAD, GIS, drone platforms, GPS datasets.

Responsibilities

• Gather field data, photos, and as‑built information to support warranty evaluations.
• Document design, manufacturing, or installation concerns and organize findings for review.
• Compare field conditions against design documents to identify root causes of issues.
• Maintain traceable warranty documentation logs for tracking and escalation.
• Coordinate engineering input for remediation plans and communicate actions to teams.
• Support GPS enabled pile driving and drone survey workflows in emerging tech adoption.
• Coordinate RFIs, drawing updates, clarifications, and consultant responses.
• Interpret project requirements, SOLV standards, and permit conditions.
• Maintain drawing sets, data room folders, and version tracking.
• Participate in constructability reviews to identify missing details or risks.
• Prepare logs and summaries for owner/IE comment cycles.
• Monitor deliverable timelines and mitigate risks with engineering partners.
• Assist with pre‑construction pile load testing logistics and data handling.
