Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking talented compliance lawyers to join the US Compliance team. The role centers on reviewing conflict-of-interest checks for prospective lateral hires and resolving conflicts to facilitate hiring.

The team collaborates globally and requires availability outside regular hours, with duties across intake, development, and governance. Ideal candidates have strong US conflicts rules knowledge, attorney experience, and the ability to manage workflows and supervise

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in one or more States where Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP offices exist
• Experience working as an attorney and handling conflicts issues
• Thorough knowledge of US conflicts rules and related ethics and commercial concerns
• Strong written and oral communication skills in a multi-cultural environment
• Ability to supervise workflow and supervise two analysts effectively
• High analytical ability and risk-based judgment in daily decisions

Responsibilities

• Advise partners, attorneys and the Global Compliance Team on potential conflicts of interest and their resolution
• Supervise workflows and the work products of at least two Compliance Analysts
• Interact with management to resolve conflict or commercial concerns in matters intake, lateral hires, and development projects
• Drive conflict matters to full resolution and manage a docket of 15–30 outstanding conflicts
• Prepare conflict reports for prospective lateral hires with identified issues and proposed solutions
• Assist with enforcement of Norton Rose Fulbright's Global Practice Standards and related regulatory obligations
• Liaise with Compliance Teams across regions on a daily basis
• Analyze conflicts related to directorships and trusteeships for database maintenance
• Review client relationship letters for contractual obligations impacting conflicts
• Address questions related to share dealing policies
