Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking talented compliance lawyers to join the US Compliance Team. The role focuses on reviewing conflict-of-interest checks for prospective lateral hires and resolving identified conflicts to facilitate lateral hiring.

The position may be performed remotely from any state with an office and will require occasional office attendance. It involves a rotating on-call schedule with potential after-hours work across time zones.

Qualifications

Licensed attorney in at least one US state.
Experience as an attorney.
Knowledge of US conflicts rules.
Strong commercial judgment.
Ability to supervise two analysts.

Responsibilities

Advise partners and the Global Compliance Team on conflicts of interest and resolutions.
Supervise the workflows and work products of at least two Compliance Analysts.
Interact with management to resolve conflicts in new matter intake and lateral hires.
Drive conflict issues to full resolution and manage a docket of 15–30 matters.
Prepare conflict reports for prospective lateral hires.
Assist with enforcement of Norton Rose Fulbright's Global Practice Standards.
Coordinate with Compliance Teams in Australia, Canada, South Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Analyze conflicts surrounding directorships and trusteeships to maintain databases.
Review client relationship letters to identify contractual obligations.
Address questions related to share dealing policies.
