Job summary
Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking experienced compliance lawyers to review conflict-of-interest checks for the US firm’s prospective lateral hires and resolve identified conflicts to enable lateral hiring. The role reports to an Assistant Deputy General Counsel, Compliance and collaborates with global teams.
The position may be performed remotely from any state with firm offices and requires flexibility to work outside regular hours.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in one or more States where Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP has an office.
- Strong understanding of US conflicts rules and compliance.
- Excellent written and oral communication; able to work across cultures.
Responsibilities
- Advise partners and the Global Compliance Team on conflicts of interest and related legal/ethical considerations.
- Supervise the workflows and work products of at least two Compliance Analysts.
- Interface with management to resolve conflict issues in new matter intake, lateral hires, and practice development projects.
- Manage a docket of 15–30 conflict matters at any time and drive issues to full resolution.
- Prepare conflict reports for prospective lateral hires, outlining issues and proposed solutions.
