Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP seeks an experienced compliance attorney to join the US Compliance Team in the United States. The role centers on reviewing conflict-of-interest checks for prospective lateral hires and resolving conflicts to facilitate hiring.

The team collaborates globally; the role may require outside-hours work and can be performed remotely from any state with an office. Admittance to practice in at least one US state is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in at least one US state (TX, NY, CA, DC).
• Experience working as an attorney with conflicts rules knowledge.
• Strong commercial judgment and analytical ability.
• Excellent written and oral communication in a multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to supervise workflow of analysts and coordinate with compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Advise on identification and resolution of potential conflicts of interest.
• Supervise workflows and work products of at least two Compliance Analysts.
• Interact with management to resolve conflicts in new matter intake and lateral hires.
• Drive conflict issues to full resolution and manage 15–30 outstanding matters.
• Prepare conflict reports with history and proposed solutions.
• Assist with compliance standards on stock dealings, sanctions, and cyber security.
• Collaborate with Compliance Teams across Australia, Canada, Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia.
• Review client relationship letters for contractual obligations in conflicts.
