Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking talented compliance lawyers to join our US Compliance team. This role focuses on reviewing conflict-of-interest checks for the firm's prospective lateral hires and resolving identified conflicts to facilitate hiring.

The position may be performed remotely from any state where the firm maintains an office, with occasional in-office attendance as required. The US Compliance Team collaborates globally and requires working outside regular hours on a rotating

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in one or more US states.
• Experience working as an attorney.
• Strong knowledge of US conflicts rules and ethics.
• Excellent written and oral communication in a multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to exercise risk-based judgment daily.
• Familiar with duties regarding confidentiality, privilege and client care.
• Experience supervising junior analysts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise partners and the Global Compliance Team on conflicts and resolutions.
• Supervise workflows and outcomes of at least two Compliance Analysts.
• Interact with management to resolve conflicts in new matter intake and hiring.
• Drive conflict issues to full resolution and manage 15–30 matters.
• Prepare conflict reports for prospective lateral hires with proposed SOLUTIONS.
• Assist with enforcement of Global Practice Standards on compliance topics.
• Liaise daily with Compliance Teams across regions.
• Review client relationship letters for contractual obligations.
• Address questions related to share dealing policies.
