Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, drive retention, and support new business development. The role includes coordinating day-to-day admin tasks, handling client inquiries, and ensuring accurate policy management and renewals.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of account management or 5+ years in insurance, with an active P&C license.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing is required; CIC or similar designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues and ensuring accuracy.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team and oversee policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Renewals: research clients, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances to maintain accounts receivable.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
