Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business. You will coordinate day-to-day admin and customer service activities, resolving complex issues and ensuring accuracy across policy administration and renewals.

The role requires active P&C licensing, strong analytical skills, and leadership of the account management team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in insurance.
• Active property & casualty (P&C) license required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry knowledge.
• Lead daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Support renewal process: client submissions, coverages, proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms with data accuracy.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Champion IOA values.
