Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, drive retention, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues and ensuring accurate, timely service.

The role requires 3-5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C licensing (CIC preferred), strong analytical and communication skills, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty (P&C) licensing; CIC designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate needs.
• Stay updated on company policies.
• Adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
