Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business with an emphasis on retention and service excellence. The role supports day-to-day administrative tasks, policy administration, billing and renewal activities while collaborating with a team in a hybrid/remote setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an active P&C license, have 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, and demonstrate strong analytical and customer service

Qualifications

• Active P&C license required.
• 3-5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver service excellence and anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek continuous improvement and champion IOA values.
