Canto is seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to build and scale its in-house legal function for a fast‑growing SaaS business. You will own end‑to‑end contracting operations, negotiate complex SaaS agreements, and implement scalable CLM and AI‑enabled processes.

Collaborating with Sales, Finance, and leadership, you will drive strategic risk management, data privacy compliance, and governance while enabling rapid deal cycles in a remote‑friendly US setting.

Qualifikationen

• 5–8 years of legal experience in SaaS or technology, in-house or hybrid.
• Strong experience negotiating commercial SaaS agreements (MSAs, subscriptions, DPAs, NDAs).
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and related privacy frameworks.
• Ability to build processes and infrastructure in a scaling environment.
• Experience partnering with Sales and GTM teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Interest in legal tech and AI-driven workflows.

• Negotiate and execute commercial SaaS agreements (MSAs, subscriptions, DPAs, NDAs).
• Lead contracting operations with a scalable CLM system and templates.
• Implement AI-enabled tools for contract review and automation.
• Manage vendor contracting, privacy, and regulatory alignment across geographies.
• Serve as primary legal advisor across commercial and operational matters.
• Partner with Security, Product, and executives on evolving legal requirements for AI and data governance.
• Drive building of a modern, tech-enabled in-house legal function.
