Job summary

Canto is seeking a Commercial Counsel to scale an AI-enabled contracting function in a fast-growing SaaS environment. You’ll design end-to-end contracting operations, negotiate MSAs, DPAs, and NDAs, and partner with Sales, Finance, and leadership to accelerate deal velocity while managing risk.

Reporting to the CFO, you will implement CLM templates, playbooks, and governance controls, while navigating privacy obligations under GDPR/CCPA and related regimes across US and EU operations.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar membership in good standing.
• 5–8 years of legal experience in SaaS or technology.
• Experience negotiating commercial SaaS agreements (MSAs, subscriptions, DPAs, NDAs).
• Knowledge of data privacy frameworks (GDPR/CCPA).
• Ability to operate independently and build processes in a scaling environment.
