Job summary

LCS Financial Services Corporation is seeking experienced third-party collections professionals for remote work. As a Collections Specialist, you will negotiate resolutions on delinquent accounts, establish payment plans, and use skip-tracing to locate borrowers while complying with laws.

You need at least 2 years in debt collection, bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and you’ll work from home on a nationwide team with performance-based pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of third-party debt collection experience.
• Proven ability to manage collection accounts and negotiate successful payment arrangements.
• Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and telephone etiquette.
• Working knowledge of applicable debt collection laws and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-minimized remote workspace suitable for confidential conversations.
• Experience in high-volume collections environments.
• Familiarity with skip-tracing tools and collection management systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Past success meeting or exceeding collection goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound collection calls to negotiate resolutions on delinquent accounts.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement agreements based on borrowers' financial circumstances.
• Utilize skip-tracing tools to locate borrowers and assets.
• Manage assigned portfolios and prioritize collection activities to maximize recovery.
• Work toward individual and departmental performance goals.
• Maintain accurate and detailed account documentation.
• Provide professional customer interactions while navigating difficult conversations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws, policies and regulatory requirements.
