Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Coding and Revenue Integrity Education Specialist to educate all levels of the organization on clinical documentation and medical coding that impact revenue.

The role involves developing training resources for technical and system applications used by Coding and CDI staff to improve efficiency and support revenue protection through enhanced documentation and coding practices.

Qualifications

• 2 years of progressively responsible coding or CDI experience.
• Experience with Coding & CDI quality improvement projects preferred.
• Experience in training, organizational development activities, or project management principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and educate to all levels of the organization on clinical documentation and medical coding that impact revenue.
• Collaborate and develop/provide training/resource materials for technical & system applications utilized by Coding and CDI staff to gain efficiency.
• Effectively use coding and clinical documentation knowledge management, the electronic medical record functionality and technology to streamline and support staff in their coding, clinical documentation and revenue protection.
