Job summary

UW Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Coding and Revenue Integrity Education Specialist to educate across the organization on clinical documentation and medical coding that impact revenue. The role collaborates to develop training materials and resources for systems used by Coding and CDI staff to gain efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2 years of progressively responsible coding or CDI experience required.
• Experience with Coding & CDI quality improvement projects preferred.
• Experience in training, organizational development, or project management principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and educate to all levels of the organization on clinical documentation and medical coding that impact revenue.
• Collaborate and develop training/resource materials for technical & system applications used by Coding and CDI staff to gain efficiency.
• Use coding and clinical documentation knowledge management, EMR functionality and technology to support staff in coding, clinical documentation and revenue protection.
