Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Coding Quality Educator to assist with clinician/coder training and ongoing education across the coding and documentation improvement domains. The role includes developing and delivering education, conducting reviews, and educating teams based on audit findings.

The educator will help identify opportunities for coding improvements, support documentation initiatives, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to enhance charge review accuracy and RVU outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certification from AAPC or AHIMA required at hire.
• 5 years' experience in medical insurance reimbursement and coding.
• Experience reviewing patient accounts and insurance explanations of benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinician/coder training and department education.
• Identify, develop and deliver new education on coding and documentation improvement.
• Conduct independent and collaborative clinician/coder reviews/audits and provide documentation to support the coding review work performed.
