Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Coding Quality Educator to support clinician and coder training and ongoing department education. The role also identifies and delivers education on coding and clinical documentation improvement opportunities and may conduct reviews or audits with documentation to back findings.

In this position you will educate teams based on review results, collaborate with billing and coding staff, and help elevate accuracy and compliance across the coding workflow.

Qualifications

• National certification or AHIMA/AAPC credentials required at hire.
• 5 years' experience in medical insurance reimbursement, medical billing and coding related to charge review and RVUs.
• 5 years' experience reviewing patient account information, insurance EOBs and financial records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinician/coder training and ongoing department education.
• Identify, develop and deliver clinician education on coding and clinical documentation improvement.
• Conduct independent and collaborative clinician/coder reviews/audits and provide documentation to educate based on findings.
