Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to deliver PB Coding and Coding Integrity education across the organization. The role involves presenting in-person and virtual trainings, developing materials, and coordinating a comprehensive education program for coders and clinicians.

Candidates should have 5 years of medical coding experience with AHIMA or AAPC certification options, and a strong background in adult learning principles.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and facilitate coding educational programs.
• Proven experience in both in-person and virtual education delivery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with coding leadership and IT to deliver coder education.
• Develop and present educational materials for initial training and ongoing education.
• Identify coding educational needs and tailor programs to staff and clinicians.
• Schedule and manage education offerings using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams.
• Create web-based coding education programs and track learner progress.
• Prepare trainer guides and conduct train-the-trainer sessions for staff.
