Job summary

CorroHealth, Inc. is seeking a remote Coding Auditor to evaluate inpatient and outpatient coding assignments (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and to deliver educational content and client reports. The ideal candidate holds an AHIMA or AAPC credential and has 5+ years of inpatient/outpatient coding or auditing experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential; CCS, RHIT, or CPC preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of inpatient/outpatient coding and/or auditing experience in acute care hospital or equivalent consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of inpatient reimbursement methodologies, regulatory compliance, and audit best practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with multiple EHR systems (e.g., EPIC, PowerChart, Meditech).

Responsibilities

• Perform complex concurrent and/or retrospective analysis of inpatient medical records to validate coded data per ICD-10 guidelines.
• Analyze findings and identify root causes of errors.
• Prepare client reports with references supporting audit findings.
• Provide second-level review to ensure compliant code assignments.
• Research and respond to inquiries regarding compliance, coding, and denials.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient health and client information; follow AHIMA ethics and guidelines.
• Conduct audits and deliverables within scope and timelines; QA to 95% accuracy.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members to support business interests.
