Job summary

CorroHealth, Inc. is seeking a remote Medical Coding Auditor to evaluate client coders’ work on ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS for hospital inpatient, outpatient and physician encounters.

You will perform concurrent or retrospective reviews and deliver audit findings with detailed references to clients. Requires 5+ years’ experience coding/auditing in acute care, AHIMA or AAPC credential (CCS preferred; CIC, RHIT or RHIA considered).

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• 5+ years’ experience coding and/or auditing in an acute care facility or clinic.
• Experience with telecommuting and electronic medical record systems required.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex, concurrent and retrospective analysis of medical record documentation to validate coded data.
• Analyze findings and identify root causes of coding errors.
• Prepare audit reports with references supporting findings.
• Provide second-level review to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and policies.
• Conduct client inquiries on compliance, coding and denials; maintain patient privacy.
• Deliver coding education content to clients as part of Consulting Services.
• Audit projects meet productivity and accuracy standards; QA results meet minimum thresholds.
