Job summary

CorroHealth, Inc. is seeking a remote coder/auditor to evaluate inpatient and outpatient code assignments, conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews, and deliver educational content to clients.

The role requires 5+ years of coding/auditing experience in acute care settings and AHIMA/AAPC credentials are preferred. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of inpatient and/or outpatient coding and/or auditing experience.
• Extensive IP facility auditing experience; IP/OP facility experience considered.
• Certified AHIMA or AAPC credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex concurrent and retrospective analysis of inpatient documentation to validate codes.
• Analyze findings and identify root causes of coding errors.
• Prepare client deliverables and audit reports with supporting references.
• Provide second-level review to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and policies.
• Conduct inquiries and respond to questions regarding compliance and denials.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and client information and follow AHIMA standards.
• Deliver coding education to clients as part of the Consulting Services Team.
• Achieve productivity standards with 80% billable hours when client work is available.
• QA audit results independently prior to QA review and final submission.

Education

AHIMA or AAPC credential (CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CPC preferred)
