Job summary

CorroHealth, Inc. is seeking a remote Medical Coding Auditor to evaluate client coder work in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes across inpatient, outpatient, and physician encounters. You will perform concurrent or retrospective reviews, inventory code assignments, and deliver education based on audit findings.

Requires 5+ years of IP facility coding/auditing experience; CCS preferred (CIC, RHIT, RHIA considered). This is a remote position with responsibilities across multiple clients and sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience coding and/or auditing in an acute care facility or clinic.
• AHIMA or AAPC credential recognized.
• Telecommuting and electronic medical record systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex, concurrent and retrospective analysis of medical records to validate coded data.
• Identify root causes of coding errors.
• Prepare audit findings reports with references for clients.
• Provide second-level review to ensure compliance with policies.
• Research inquiries regarding coding and denials.
• Protect patient data privacy per AHIMA standards.
• Develop and deliver coding education to clients.
• Meet productivity standards (≥80% billable hours).
• Prepare deliverables within audit scope and deadlines.
• Conduct independent QA of audit results.
