Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or RHIT accreditation required.
• 2–5 years of professional coding experience with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS modifiers; knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules.
• 3–6 years of professional coding and auditing experience; ability to code from operative reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accuracy of centralized coders’ charge capture and coding.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve HCC and high risk scoring through education.
• Review patient medical records for documentation and coding accuracy.
• Educate practitioners in coding, documentation, and compliance.
• Assist in establishing and updating the CDM methodology and pricing models.
