Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our Engineering Systems team. You will manage code signing, encryption, and PKI workloads across multiple platforms while improving build and release tooling.

The role emphasizes automation, documentation, and collaboration with global teams to support scalable pipelines. As a remote employee in a fast-moving environment, you will contribute to designing scalable signing frameworks, integrating CI/CD, and driving end-to-end improvements in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Deep knowledge of encryption/PKI concepts as they relate to code signing.
• Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipeline development.
• Proven capabilities operating, administering, and troubleshooting CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience with containerization and cloud APIs (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Manage code signing for binaries across Windows, Linux, and Mac.
• Manage certificate lifecycles: issuance, renewal, revocation, storage.
• Design and maintain encryption, certificate, and code signing frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to improve operation of existing systems.
• Deliver end-to-end improvements from design to finished product for internal customers.
• Produce clean, well-documented code and perform reviews.
• On-call build engineer duties and troubleshooting of build/deploy processes.
• Triage and remediate build, packaging, and deployment failures.
• Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones.
