Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an automation engineer to advance our build, test, signing, and deployment pipelines in a remote role. You will design and implement encryption and code signing frameworks across Windows, Linux, and Mac, and drive end-to-end improvements from stakeholder input to final products.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software/DevOps, strong Python, Groovy, CI/CD, and experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipeline development.
• Proven capabilities operating, administering, and troubleshooting CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud APIs (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Understanding encryption/PKI concepts relevant to code signing.
• Ability to work across global, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage code signing for binaries across Windows, Linux, and Mac, including various signing processes.
• Manage certificate lifecycles: issuance, renewal, revocation, storage.
• Design, implement, and maintain encryption, certificate, and code signing frameworks with automation.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve operation of existing systems.
• Lead end-to-end improvements from design to delivered product for internal customers.
• Produce clear, maintainable code with minimal oversight.
• Provide user documentation for tools created.
• Perform code reviews.
• Support on-call build engineer duties and system maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and remediate build/packaging/deployment issues.
• Serve on on-call rotation and work effectively as a remote employee.
• Collaborate with development teams and time-zone distributed teams.
