Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an automation engineer to manage code signing across multiple platforms and to improve CI/CD pipelines. You will handle certificate lifecycles, design encryption frameworks, and drive end-to-end improvements with stakeholders across time zones.

The role requires strong Python, Groovy, and cloud/virtualization experience, with a focus on security and AI-driven workflow enhancements. You will work remotely with global teams and contribute to scalable, secure build systems

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Deep knowledge of encryption/PKI concepts as they relate to code signing.
• Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipeline development (Jenkinsfiles, shared libraries).
• Experience operating, administering, and troubleshooting CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with configuration tools such as Ansible, Chef, and/or Salt.
• Experience automating virtualization environments (e.g. VMWare).
• Familiarity with public cloud APIs (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Ability to work with development teams to improve build/release processes.
• Global cross-functional collaboration across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Manage code signing for binaries, packages, and artifacts across Windows, Linux, and Mac.
• Manage certificate lifecycles: issuance, renewal, revocation, storage.
• Design and maintain encryption, certificate, and code signing frameworks with automation.
• Identify opportunities to improve operation of existing systems.
• Drive end-to-end improvements from design to delivery for internal customers.
• Produce clear, maintainable code with minimal oversight.
• Provide documentation for tools and perform code reviews.
• Assist with on-call build engineer functions and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot build, packaging, and deployment failures.
• Serve on on-call rotation and work as a remote employee.
