Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an automation engineer to join the Engineering Systems team. You will help move from current build tools to future-ready automation, shaping signings, encryption and pipeline tooling across Windows, Linux and Mac. The role emphasizes CI/CD, PKI, and cloud integrations.

You will work remotely, collaborating with global teams, and contribute to scalable, secure build systems while supporting on-call rotations and deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps/build engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Deep knowledge of encryption/PKI concepts related to code signing.
• Experience writing Groovy for Jenkins pipelines (Jenkinsfiles, shared libraries).
• Proven capabilities operating, administering, and troubleshooting CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with configuration tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Salt.
• Experience automating virtualization environments (VMware).
• Familiarity with public cloud APIs (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Ability to collaborate with development teams to improve build/release processes.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive, self-learning mindset.
• Security-minded with AI-enabled workflow optimization experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage code signing for binaries across Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms.
• Manage certificate lifecycles including issuance, renewal and revocation.
• Design and maintain encryption, certificate, and code signing frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to improve operation of existing systems.
• Drive end-to-end improvements from design to delivery for internal customers.
• Produce clean, maintainable code with minimal oversight.
• Provide user documentation for tools created.
• Perform code reviews and participate in on-call support.
• Troubleshoot build, packaging, and deployment failures; restore services as needed.
• Work as a remote team member across multiple time zones.
