Job summary

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) seeks a CloudOps Engineer II to lead the development and operation of CHLA’s cloud and hybrid infrastructure. You will work on automation, IaC, monitoring, security, and disaster recovery across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The role supports CHLA’s Linux stack and requires collaboration with senior engineers. The position is 100% remote, with a California residence required, and occasional on-site visits may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant cloud certifications are desirable.
• Master’s Degree and cloud certifications such as AWS/AZURE/GCP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate CHLA’s cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure as code and maintain centralized monitoring and security governance.
• Support CHLA’s Linux environment across cloud, on‑premises, and research systems.
• Provide onsite support when required during investigations or remediation.
• Contribute to cloud disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
