Job summary

The Enterprise IT Automation and Cloud Architect at CHOC Children's is responsible for leading the architecture, management and maintenance of technologies that support CHOC’s objectives.   • Ability to implement custom integrations in a healthcare setting using development languages such as C#, PowerShell, SQL, JavaScript.
  • Highly motivated to acquire, learn and implement new technologies while assessing their relevance to current organizational needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority projects while shifting work efforts with the changing demands of the organization.
  • Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and processes.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, problem solve and discriminate between important and unimportant details.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Enterprise IT Automation and Cloud Architect is responsible for leading the architecture, management and maintenance of technologies and solutions that support CHOC’s organizational objectives. These objectives being focused on automation, application and systems integrating and the development and migration of core IT systems to optimize internal processes and workflows. The incumbent will work directly with other IT Engineers and Support Staff to enable them to optimize their existing processes by streamlining and automating current manual work efforts. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the strategy, design, and planning of CHOC’s continued use of cloud technologies. Incumbent will also lead the design and architecture of new and innovative cloud-native solutions. Other responsibilities will include working directly with our customers (leadership, physicians, nurses, etc.) to acquire intimate knowledge of organizational flow and determine where other opportunities for process optimization may exist.

Pay Range

Minimum $140,504 Midpoint $186,181 Maximum $231,837

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience
  • Required: Minimum seven (7) years of related professional experience in MS/Linux mixed environment(s). Five (5) years in a Software Engineer / System Admin role, architecting enterprise automation/integrated systems. Two (2) years of cloud-related experience
Education
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or additional equivalent work experience in a healthcare environment accepted in lieu of education.

  • Required: None required.

Licensure
  • Required: AWS (or Azure) Cloud Certification(s); ITIL v3 Certification.
