Job summary

SMX is seeking a Cloud Security Operations Analyst to support our Security Operations team for managed security services of cloud infrastructures. The role guides stakeholders in evaluating cyber posture and developing monitoring solutions to counter threats, contributing to timely delivery of services.

Requirements include a 4-year degree in Cybersecurity/CS and 2+ years in cyber security or cloud experience, with familiarity in Unix/Linux/Windows and endpoint security tools.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree focused on Cybersecurity or Computer Science.
• 2+ years cyber security or cloud experience, preference for SOC support.
• Experience with Unix, Linux or Windows operating systems; comfortable on the command line.
• Experience with advanced endpoint security tools to counter threats.
• Ability to lead and coordinate small teams and communicate technically with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve system and network security monitoring capabilities.
• Triage and notify clients of potential security incidents; tune sensors to reduce false positives.
• Implement endpoint security agent policies and rules.
• Support threat analysis, incident response, and reporting.
• Write knowledge base docs to improve operations and SOPs.
