SMX is seeking a Cloud Security Operations Analyst to support our Security Operations team responsible for managed security services of cloud infrastructures. The role guides teams evaluating cybersecurity posture and developing monitoring solutions to counter threats.

The candidate will help detect and mitigate threats using security tools for timely service delivery. The successful candidate will lead small teams, communicate technically, and collaborate with client stakeholders.

Formación

• 4 year degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science required.
• 2+ years cyber security or cloud experience required.
• Experience with Unix, Linux, Windows operating systems and command line.
• Scripting experience preferred but not required.
• CISSP/CEH/CASP or other security certs preferred but not required.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust/DoD clearance.
• Ability to lead small teams and coordinate efforts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with customers.
• Familiarity with enterprise apps, infrastructure and security technologies.
• Comfort with threat analysis and monitoring toolsets.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement and improve security monitoring capabilities and procedures.
• Triage and notify clients of potential security incidents; tune sensors to reduce false positives.
• Implement endpoint security policies to meet defensive objectives.
• Support operational threat analysis from log correlation and tooling.
• Support contingency and incident response activities.
• Produce monthly and quarterly security monitoring reports.
• Suggest improvements; monitor production and non-production systems for data protection.
• Write knowledge base documents to improve SOPs and operations.
