SMX is seeking a Cloud Security Operations Analyst to bolster the Security Operations team for our managed security services. This role focuses on detecting and mitigating threats across cloud infrastructures, guiding clients, and developing monitoring solutions.

You will contribute to security posture assessments and provide timely, quality service. The candidate should lead small teams, communicate technically, and stay current with cyber threats while supporting a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree focused on Cybersecurity or Computer Science.
• Experience with cyber security or cloud environments (2+ years).
• Familiar with enterprise apps, infrastructure, and security tech.
• Knowledge of endpoint security tools and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve security monitoring capabilities and procedures.
• Triage and notify clients of potential security incidents; reduce false positives.
• Implement endpoint security policies and rules.
• Support threat analysis through log correlation and tooling.
• Assist with contingency planning and incident response.
• Produce monthly/quarterly monitoring reports.
