SMX is seeking a Cloud Security Operations Analyst to join the Security Operations team for managed security services across cloud environments. Remote role supporting a Herndon, VA team.

Responsibilities include monitoring, triage, incident response, and reporting to ensure customers’ data is protected. The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in cyber security or cloud, a 4-year degree in CS or Cybersecurity, and experience with Unix/Linux/Windows and endpoint security tools.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in Cybersecurity or CS.
• 2+ years in cyber security or cloud, preferably in SOC.
• Experience with enterprise apps and security technologies.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust and DoD clearance.

Responsabilités

• Develop and improve system and network security monitoring capabilities.
• Triage and notify clients of potential security incidents; tune sensors to reduce false positives.
• Implement endpoint security policies.
• Support threat analysis from logs and endpoint tools.
• Contribute to incident response activities.
• Produce monthly and quarterly monitoring/alerting reports.
• Recommend improvements and protect customer data.
