Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers, contribute technically, and drive cloud-native initiatives.

You will guide architecture, set priorities, and collaborate with cross-functional product teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions for government clients. The role emphasizes remote-first collaboration, competitive benefits, retirement matching, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience designing production-grade cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and containerized deployment patterns.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) using JDBC and ORM mappers (Hibernate).
• Experience with DevOps, preferably Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience using AWS cloud native services and data engineering.
• Ability to think strategically about trade-offs and work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Writing code and performing code reviews
• Writing and reviewing technical specifications
• Working closely with cross-functional product teams to identify and mitigate technical risks
• Guiding the engineering team on planning, estimation, prioritization, trade-offs, and balancing technical debt and meeting project milestones
• Review architecture and designs from other project teams
• Strategizing with leadership on ways to grow projects
• Attending conferences and networking with potential clients
