Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor engineers, while contributing as a technical leader on cloud-native projects.

You will guide planning, architecture reviews, and collaboration with product teams to deliver secure, scalable software on modern cloud platforms. The role emphasizes long-term technical strategy, staff growth, and near-term delivery milestones in a remote-first environment with a compensation package that includes

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience designing production-grade, cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs with Java/Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORM (Hibernate).
• DevOps experience, preferably Jenkins CI/CD and AWS cloud services.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Write code and perform code reviews.
• Write and review technical specifications.
• Partner with cross-functional product teams to identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Guide the engineering team on planning, estimation, prioritization, trade-offs, debt balance, and milestones.
• Review architectures and designs from other teams; strategize on project growth.
