Job summary

Zippy is hiring a Closing Operations Specialist – Broker to coordinate closings for the broker channel, serving as the central contact for external mortgage brokers, settlement agents, and internal teams. You will balance final loan documents, guide borrowers through closing steps, and support remote online notarization to ensure a smooth closing experience for one of the largest purchases customers make.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of loan closing experience in the housing market; manufactured housing experience is appreciated.
• Experience supporting mortgage brokers or wholesale lending transactions and coordinating with title companies, escrow officers or settlement agents.
• Ability to review and balance final loan documents and settlement statements, identify discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, courteous and responsive approach to broker and settlement partner relationships.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that evolves as Zippy’s technology and business scale.
• Quality-focused, highly attentive to detail and process-oriented.
• Flexible work schedule, including after hours and weekends as needed, to meet closing needs.
• Proactive and autonomous, with the ability to manage multiple closings and competing priorities.
• Collaborative and innovative, with a strong desire for the entire team to succeed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools, with the ability to adapt to new technology.
• Undergraduate degree or extended relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Broker and Settlement Agent Support: act as central contact to resolve late-stage bottlenecks and keep closings moving.
• Coordinate Final Figures: balance loan documents and settlement statements with title companies, resolve discrepancies.
• Broker Relations: provide timely loan status updates and next steps to wholesale brokers.
• Customer Experience: create a smooth digital closing, guide borrowers and facilitate remote notarization.
• Document Review: QA closing documents and coordinate corrections with internal teams and partners.
• Process Ownership: resolve issues, track items and prepare for loan servicing after close.
• Teamwork and Time Management: manage competing priorities across brokers and internal teams.
• Feedback and Improvement: provide actionable feedback on systems and workflows.
• Share Best Practices: spread learnings across origination and closing teams.
