Job summary

Zippy is seeking a Closing Operations Specialist – Broker to coordinate and execute broker closings nationwide. You will serve as the main contact for external mortgage brokers, settlement agents, and internal teams, ensuring accurate final figures and documents and guiding clients through remote notarization.

You'll balance documents, resolve discrepancies, and maintain a positive borrower experience while advancing closings in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of loan closing experience in the housing market.
• Experience supporting mortgage brokers or wholesale lending transactions and coordinating with title companies.
• Ability to review and balance final loan documents and settlement statements, identify discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, courteous approach to broker relationships.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that evolves with technology and scale.
• Quality-focused, highly attentive to detail and process-oriented.
• Flexible work schedule, including after hours and weekends as needed.
• Proactive and autonomous with ability to manage multiple closings and priorities.
• Collaborative and innovative with a team-focused mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new technology.
• Undergraduate degree or extended relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Broker and Settlement Agent Support: central point of contact to resolve bottlenecks and keep closings moving forward.
• Coordinate Final Figures: balance final loan documents and settlement statements; resolve discrepancies before execution.
• Broker Relations: provide status updates and next steps to wholesale lending brokers and partners.
• Customer Experience: guide borrowers through closing documents and facilitate remote notarization.
• Document Review: QA on closing documents and coordinate corrections.
• Process Ownership: resolve closing issues and track outstanding items for post-close tasks.
• Teamwork and Time Management: coordinate with brokers, executives, and partners to deliver timely closings.
• Feedback and Improvement: provide actionable feedback on systems and workflows.
• Share Best Practices: disseminate learnings across origination and closing teams.
