Job summary

Zippy is seeking a Closing Operations Specialist – Broker to coordinate and execute broker channel closings, acting as the central contact for brokers and settlement agents. You will ensure timely closings, oversee digital signing, and guide borrowers through final documents in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of loan closing experience in the housing market; manufactured housing experience appreciated.
• Experience supporting mortgage brokers or wholesale lending transactions and coordinating with title companies, escrow officers or settlement agents.
• Ability to review and balance final loan documents and settlement statements, identify discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, courteous and responsive approach to broker and settlement partner relationships.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that evolves as Zippy’s technology and business scale.
• Quality-focused, highly attentive to detail and process-oriented.
• Flexible work schedule, including after hours and weekends as needed, to meet closing needs.
• Proactive and autonomous, with the ability to manage multiple closings and competing priorities.
• Collaborative and innovative, with a strong desire for the entire team to succeed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools, with the ability to adapt to new technology.
• Undergraduate degree or extended relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of contact for brokers, settlement agents, and internal staff to resolve late-stage closing bottlenecks and keep closings moving forward.
• Balance final loan documents and settlement statements with title companies or settlement agents; resolve discrepancies before documents are finalized.
• Communicate loan status updates and closing requirements to wholesale lending brokers and partners.
• Guide borrowers through closing documents and facilitate remote online notarization.
• Develop knowledge of Zippy’s loan products and perform QA on closing documents; coordinate corrections with internal teams and partners.
• Proactively resolve closing issues and track outstanding items for post-close tasks.
• Coordinate with brokers, account executives, and settlement partners to deliver accurate, timely closings.
• Provide actionable feedback on Zippy’s systems and workflows to share best practices across teams.
