Job summary

Optain is seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to own the operations of its provider network of optometrists and ophthalmologists across the United States. You will document policies, establish a QA program, and build a capacity model that scales with demand while aligning with the Medical Director.

The role is non-clinical, reporting to the VP of Operations, and sits at the center of scaling the EyePACS platform with remote US-based work and occasional travel for team events and customer

Qualifications

• 5+ years in healthcare operations, with 2+ years managing a network of contracted clinicians.
• Has written clinical or operational policy that a physician leader signed.
• Has run a clinical quality, peer review, or provider performance program.
• Experience operating a clinician network under a medical director’s oversight is a plus.
• US-based, comfortable with remote work and travel for team offsites and engagements.

Responsibilities

• Own the provider network policies, SOPs, onboarding materials, and policy library; maintain and route content for Medical Director review.
• Establish documentation governance so operating knowledge lives in documents, not individuals.
• Design and run the grader quality program with error tracking and performance feedback.
• Prepare quality reviews and escalations for Medical Director adjudication and execute actions.
• Build a capacity model by state/customer and manage recruitment triggers ahead of breaches.
• Own intake, triage, and routing of complaints; route clinical questions to Medical Director and close the loop.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering on platform improvements to reduce manual work.
