Job summary

Vail Health schedules clinic appointments and coordinates care with patients and providers. This role supports efficient appointment management, accurate patient demographics collection, and HIPAA-compliant communication using our EHR system.

The Clinic Scheduler role requires strong organization, professional phone etiquette, and a patient-centered approach while adhering to established scheduling procedures and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule medical appointments coordinating patients, providers, locations, and payers.
• Receive and initiate calls to and from patients and providers following procedures.
• Use EHR scheduling software to schedule appointments, tests, and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and schedule patient appointments.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Process electronic requests through drop box and patient portals.
• Distribute faxes and manage requests.
• Model Just Culture and Organizational Values; HIPAA compliant.
