Job summary

Vail Health in Ohio is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to manage scheduling of medical appointments and coordinate with providers, payers, and locations. This role involves answering calls, directing inquiries, and ensuring accurate patient demographics using the EHR system.

You will support messaging, messaging distribution, and appointment coordination across the care team. The position prefers candidates with medical office experience, familiarity with medical terminology, and knowledge of HIPAA

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties.
• Schedule appointments leveraging the electronic health record (EHR) scheduling software.
• Obtain and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Distribute faxes and help manage needed requests.
