Responsibilities

• Manage Claim professionals with corresponding claim inventories.
• Utilize financial reporting tools to monitor reserve accuracy and trending.
• Maintain and teach understanding of business vision and goals.
• Manage and implement change and explain drivers for goals.
• Stay current on issues impacting personal and commercial business.
• Use critical thinking to gather information and make informed decisions.
• Manage claim assignment by complexity and proper handling.
• Oversee investigation, disposition and settlement per standards and ethics.
• Assess indemnity and expense exposure and timely set reserves.
• Explain coverage clearly to customers.
• Train and develop staff for performance and succession.
• Address performance and maintain customer focus.
• Maintain relationships with customers and negotiate when needed.
