Job summary

The Hartford in Naperville, IL is seeking a Team Leader Claims to guide a General Liability Litigation team. You will oversee investigations, liability determinations and settlements, while coaching staff toward high performance.

Reporting to the Eastern General Liability Litigation Director, you will manage a ~7-person team, align with policy guidelines, and collaborate with Agents, Brokers, and Product Qualifications in a hybrid or remote setup.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Experience leading and developing staff.
• Strong knowledge of General Liability litigation and coverage.
• Understanding of HR policies and administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a tenured team of about 7 General Liability Litigation Claim Handlers.
• Oversee claim investigations, liability determinations and settlements.
• Manage performance, develop staff and drive professional goals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support claims handling.
• Adapt to hybrid or remote work arrangements as needed.
