Job summary

Gallagher, a leading insurance brokerage and consulting firm, seeks a Claims Supervisor to oversee a team of P&C claims examiners based remotely in California. You will provide support, ensure proper claims handling, and deliver client satisfaction while maintaining regulatory compliance.

In this role you will collaborate with clients and account teams, review examiner work and hours, approve invoices, monitor trust accounts, and participate in client meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 10 years related claim experience required. Licenses/certifications per state.
• Minimum of five (5) years Property & Casualty liability claims experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist directly with client questions, concerns and/or issues.
• Handle personal claim file caseload as assigned.
• Assist with balancing Examiner pending files.
• Review Examiner technical work product and reserve adequacy.
• Review accuracy of Examiner billable hours.
• Work with Clients/Account Executives/Account Manager’s to schedule, prepare and conduct claim file reviews.
• Attend JPA or other client meetings.
• Responsible for ensuring claims are listed on agendas for JPA discussion.
• Review Examiner write ups for JPA meetings for technical correctness and readability.
• Approve advance/special invoices.
• Review monthly trust account invoicing and balances.
• Review monthly loss runs and incident reports.
