Gallagher seeks a Senior Claims Examiner to manage complex general liability, employment, and civil rights claims from intake to resolution, ensuring cost-effective outcomes for clients. You will evaluate coverage, coordinate investigations, and guide defense counsel through settlements and mediations.

This remote California role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, licensed in required states, with extensive expertise in claims handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 7 years related experience in the applicable claims area.
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled or able to obtain licenses per local requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree highly preferred. 10+ years of prior claims adjusting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full life cycle of complex general liability, employment, and civil rights claims.
• Analyze coverage, assign and review investigations, evaluate damages, and recommend settlements.
• Draft coverage letters, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Direct defense counsel, control litigation costs, and attend mediations or settlement conferences.
• Provide guidance to junior adjusters and support client file reviews.
