Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a remote Civil Rights Investigator to support discrimination investigations, language access, and regulatory compliance within the Civil Rights team. You will coordinate data collection, track cases, and contribute to enterprise-wide insights.

The role focuses on equity, accessibility, and policy implementation across multiple states, with ongoing training and collaboration with clinical and leadership teams. 40 hours weekly, remote from eligible states including OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in public health, policy, law, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of cumulative experience in civil rights, disability rights, investigations, clinical or administrative health care, and policy/program development.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate, and provide expert consultation on civil rights, disability rights, and equity issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with diplomacy in engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office and health system tools; familiarity with EHR platforms and incident tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Support and conduct investigation and resolution of civil rights and language-access complaints, escalating complex cases as needed.
• Identify, analyze, mitigate, and prevent risk related to civil rights concerns.
• Maintain confidential documentation of complaints, investigations, and resolutions per policies.
• Lead tracking, analysis, and reporting of civil rights data to support improvements.
• Coordinate collection and validation of patient demographic data for regulatory reporting and initiatives.
